Hello World! My name is Aryan Agarwal, a current junior at Phillips Exeter Academy. As a student, I have a deep love for history, particularly the way in which we can use historical analysis of science & technology to inform our current digital age.

what’s the problem

See, things in tech are moving fast. With the onset of AR/VR, green energy, and perhaps most pressingly, artificial intelligence, a host of questions need to be answered. From ethics to business, law to academia, there isn’t a corner of the world that these innovations won’t affect. The question then is not how we can slow down, but maintain the pace of growth while making more human-centered decisions. That means creating a new generation of technologists who understand where society needs to go and how it can get there —— through history.

So, what is Aryan Talks Tech? Very simple. It’s the platform (small now, but we’re getting there) to develop that multi-faceted worldview. I don’t believe that we can get anywhere as a civilization when our literary intellectuals stop communicating with our scientific geniuses. Science & technology through a historical lens is where that divide is bridged. Hopefully, one post at a time, a real difference can be made.
